While the era of streaming has revolutionized the way consumers interact with music, making it easier than ever to listen to their favorite songs, there has been a casualty—the music professionals behind the record. That’s why the Recording Academy created Behind The Record, a social media initiative to champion the songwriters, engineers, producers, and other music professionals behind your favorite songs. This year’s campaign focused on the unique ability to create something out of nothing: behind every hit song is an intricate dance of creativity that builds and builds to the final product.
